Afternoon visit to Grundon’s Tanhouse Material Recovery Facility and Lakeside Energy from Waste Plant

We invite you to join us for an exciting afternoon meeting that
comprises of a rare visit to two new, state-of-the-art waste
management operations. The first is to a recently commissioned
Materials Recovery Facility that employs the latest technology in
the form of near-infra red spectroscopy to sort and segregate waste
materials to a high standard. The second part of the visit will be
to an advanced technology Energy from Waste plant processing over
410,000 tonnes of waste per annum to generate 37 MW of electricity,
sufficient to power the domestic requirements of 59,000
homes.
